I am trying to put a closed loop on a 2.5 and I am wondering what a good external pump would be. I need around 100gph and wondering if anyone knows a good pump I could use.

I just got home from school to find my hermit crab in my trash bin. How he got out I don't know, but he is still alive. Do you think he will be ok or what. From the top of the tank to the bottom of the trash is just over 3 feet, and the desk my tank is on is 4 inches away from the bin.

If you mean the 12 gallon then no, but if you mean the 24, then probably as long as you alter the flow to allow a slower flow rate.

Because Seahorses are easily seseptable to parasites a uv sterilizer is needed. Rule of thumb for hight needed for a tank for them is 3 times their hight. A sump/fuge would be good, and you would want to keep your flow no higher than 5 times the tank volume an hour. The same rules for live rock...

On my 2.5 gallon nano I have a 20 watt pc bulb on it giving 8.5 watts per gallon. Would I be able to keep any sps and if so what types? Would the high wpg be the cause of the demise of my xenia?
