My loach is so cool. I usually melt my bloodworm\brine cubes before dropping them in. After reading here that many folks just drop the frozen cube in, I tried it. Worked great for a few days. Always brings the loach out. He hides behind a fake rock formation I have against the back tank glass...

Sharks prefer caves, period. They don't feel as safe hiding in plants. My buddy has a Columbian shark that does the same 'by the glass' thing. Ever since the redtail took over his cave. Give him a better place to hide. I'm assuming you didn't remove it just so you could see him more. If so...

Agree with funktastic. Although now, to prevent snails, I rinse them in the tap water. Just hold them under the tap and run my fingers tightly across every leaf. No ill effects from the tap treament yet.
