    Hmm personally I would move the adults to your larger tank and the 10 gallon would be perfect for your fry tank . And yeah panty hose works or some filter sponge elastic banded around it . You could weed your larger aqua clear with some of the media from your old tank too . Sent from my iPod...

    My main room is pretty well maxed out on tanks atm lol. So im expanding over into my computer/cirtter / bird room . I have a sturdy shelf system i would like to put 4 tanks on . a 5 gallon at the bottom . 3 other roughly 1 gallon tanks. Now the problem is i dont want to pay 10 bucks a heater...

    you could get a divider and partition it off . You could get a cheap heater for your 30. A clamp light from walmart (5 bucks ish). Bare bottom would be fine for a breeder .     Not at this time no . If im really desperate in the future and have no room for them . As a last resort i guess i would . But if i don't have to i really dont like culling them .

    Yeah i use a whisper 60 and they are great. It doesnt vibrate and move around and make alot of noise . And i got 7 things running of it . there great too .
