He actually stood out to me in the tank at my lfs because he had a lot of orange and blues. But now they have turned into more blues and yellows. I would be happy if he turned into pretty much any of those y'all have mentioned or what he was supposed to be. I guess we will know more in a month...

Bought this peacock last week from lfs. It was in a talk full of red empress juveniles that all looked a lot alike except for him. He's supposed to be the same according to them but as much researching as I've done it doesn't seem like he is. Could still be too early to tell but I just wanted...
Thanks sounds like you know your stuff about peacocks. I got lucky earlier when I went to petco and also got a nice dragon blood cichlid. I'm slowly working my way to and all male tank of peacocks. You have any good sites where you've found this info at?
I'm not sure they are still very young but they don't interact with anyone else that is or has been in the tank. The kenyi is definitely the head honcho. I had to remove a yellow lab when he started to change due to fighting.
I've had others on and off in the tank but mostly just them. And believe me I got plenty of time to worry about the calvus the grow ridiculously slow. I don't believe it's the tank. I've see. Plenty change with no problem in small tanks.
