I get my water tested about every week at LFS so I'll have to have it checked. But no, she doesn't seem to do better. Hopefully whatever it is will fix itself.

Hi all
I'm starting to become nervous about one of my African cichlids. It is red/orange zebra and all has been well for almost a month of having her but she just started pooping clear feces that is very stringy. Her eyes also have became bulgy and just has weird anxiety type of attacks. Is not...
Alright cool. I have the red and blue zebras ones already I really like them. Not to be picky I just want each cichlid to be different color. So yellow lab will be one for sure and will ask the LFS what two other good mbunas would be. Thank you guys

Maybe a yellow lab and some other cichlids? What are some you suggest to add into the tank along with the yellow lab?

Hey everyone.
I have a dilemma I could really use some help with. I currently have a 38 gallon tank with a big center piece rock providing holes and such for my fish. I have three cichlids,(1 melanochromis, 2 metriaclima estherae), two clown loaches, and a rainbow shark. The cichlids were all...
Hey all, having an issue with feeding. I currently have 3 lake Malawi cichlids, two clown loaches, and a rainbow shark. I had the cichlids first and was feeding tetra color pellets and they feed wonderfully with no issues. I recently added the loaches and shark and I am having a problem with...
You guys seem very knowledgeable upon these cichlids so I have another question if you don't mind. I am looking to add another fish or two or so here in the next couple days as long as my water is healthy. I understand that these cichlids are meant to be their species only but yet I have seen...
Actually I'm noticing he is just losing color in general. I feed him tetracolor cichlid pellets with tank temperature at almost 80 degrees. With two other cichlids but I don't ever see any signs of aggression between them all.

It seems like my orange cichlid is pretty red. I don't think I noticed it before so I don't think it's normal. Just curious if it may have an issue or it is normal internal coloring. Its the reddish color around his gills but inside his skin.

Isnt the auratus the more aggressive cichlid? My cichlids don't seem to have any issues at all but almost everything I've read shows they should be aggressive toward my other two. Just confused. Is it because he's a juvenile?
