Also make sure the damsel isn't bullying her at night. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. Hippo tangs are the most skittish fish on the planet.
Well water can cause many problems.
If I were you I would do a 29 gallon or smaller cube tank with 2 clownfish and an anemone. Cost will be cheaper and maintenance will be easier.

I would recommend having your water tested for trace elements.
There is a ton of debate over water changes, but one thing i can say is if your not going to change your water than you must add supplements for trace elements and alkalinity because they will slowly be drained from your tank.
