Don't get me started on Chromis!!! I kicked off with 3 in the tank, the biggest bullied the other two to death within a week or so. I then introduced another 2 (of similar size to bully boy) and he did the same to them over a 4 week period.....no more chromis for me!

Water parameters are fine amm - 0 Trite - 0 Trate - 0. 50lb LR, Eheim 2215 external, 2x MJ 1200's, CPR Bakpak 2R skimmer

It's certainly not hair algae as there's no growth off the rock, it's just solid on the rock (if that makes sense!). It doesn't look slimey either (I'll have a feel of it tonight...ooer!)

I have the same skimmer. I adjust the air intake so that the bubble stream just about hits the bottom of the skimmer. My collection cup is about 1/4 inch below the top of the bubbles in the reaction chamber. I pull out about 1/2 cup of dark green skimmate once a week. Hope this helps Phil
