How Often / Much Should I Feed My Pleco?

The closest I've been able to get to an ID is Hypostomus punctatus, but as I understand that is an overly generic classification. And do you leave the cucumber / zuchinni in all of the time? Doesn't that spoil the tank?

How Often / Much Should I Feed My Pleco?

I have a pleco who has been doing a splendid job at keeping my tank spotless. He's really making me look good.... :D Anyway, now that most of the obvious algae has been removed, I worry that he is running low on stuff to eat. I know there is algae in there that I can't see, but I'm not...

    DIY CO2: Diffusor Possibilities

Hello all, I am planning a DIY CO2 system that would ultimately output the CO2 directly into the water intake tube of my H.O.T. power filter via an airstone. Has anyone done this, and if so, does it do a good job getting CO2 absorbed into the system? Is there anything that I should be aware...

    dGH Increasing for Unknown Reason

Actually I think I discovered what the problem was. I was topping-off the water regularly, but I hadn't done any water changes yet, as I was waiting until I saw an identifiable ammonia trace before changing. Can't seem to get my tank to cycle!

And I am using a liquid test kit. I checked the Nitrate / Nitrite levels with strips to confirm, but I don't have ammonia strips.

    Sorry. It's a 25 gallon tank (24X12X20).

Can't seem to get my tank to cycle!

Very new to fish-keeping, but I know I should expect my tank to cycle. I currently have two gouramis busy breathing, pooping, and peeing for several weeks now (3 to be exact) but I haven't seen even a "blip" in the Ammonia / Nitrite / Nitrate levels since I started. Do I need more fish (LFS...
