Aquaclear has always been my favourite. Its all I'll buy, its so easy to set up/use/clean. And I find there's a big difference between low flow and high flow, so I can set it pretty much exactly how I want it.

I'd be careful having a betta in an Edge. I've tried three times and they all hated it in there. Make sure you don't fill it up to the top so the betta can access air, and keep an eye on the filter output. I had no problem with having java ferns and a moss ball in the Edge, but I've never tried...
