    Yes you should put the live rock in and all. Ive read that if you get raw shrimp from the store(non cooked, non breaded) and put them in, it helps cycle the tank and its better than risking a poor fishes life

    They will eat whatever usually. I have one in my 29G community tank. only suggestion is having places for it to hide in. I used one of the knive fish tubes they sell in stores he loves it.

    yes, it is possible that they will nibble on the tails, but my guppies get along with my goldfish and tetras just fine

    they dont color up till about 6-8 months. females never color up. you cant tell males and females apart by the upper fin. if its curved its female, pointy is male, but if they are juvi you wont be able to tell
