Lighting for a 7" sps tank, 5x400w or 3x1000w? What would you suggest, i am thinking of either 5 400w low bay units: with say 3x 20k and then two 10k bulbs. Or have three 1000w units, with the Diamond Lumenarc 3 reflector, which did so well in Sanjays test...

cool thats good to hear, as im not sure i would be able to fit in some t5s anyway. and was thinking that the 20k 400w might be bluer to the eye then the t5s so may look wrong going from dark-light blue-dark blue-white-dark blue-light blue- dark.

yeah have just had a reply from the manufacturer who i got to do some tests for me as too the heat it would produce. well he got five of the units linked together and di some tests with heat emmited with the fans, and heat emmited with the fans. wow what a difference i know what ill go for now :)

cool thanx for the help. yeah styrofoam = polystryene (its an over the water thing). I was thinking of going this so that, the ones i will get will have leaves, the leaves will be out the water but the stem/roots in the water. andrew
