I just thought about it and I don't think I can have a rimless tank because of my cats. I have 2 cats and without a lid I think the tank would get a good amount of hair in it.

Well with the little that I know about fish I do believe black skirt tetras need a group of around 5 or so, that could also be the reason for the aggression. Can you list all the fish you have?

In my last tank I had 5 black skirt tetras and they were pretty varied in their personalities, can definitely be aggressive at times.

Mine did the same thing and scared me every time I looked at it, but it never got worse and nothing ever happened because of it.

Seems hard to find an acrylic tank that is smaller than 10g, is there a specific reason for this? Also wondering why acrylic is so much more expensive than glass? Recently moved and had to donate my 20g tank I had and am wanting to get an acrylic tank, any thoughts?
