I keep getting this stuff on the glass of my freshwater tank. What is it? How do I get rid of it? It cleans off fairly easy with a green scratch pad, but it seems to come back real quick.

As far as water goes, I've got all kinds. I've got hard water available from the outside faucet, soft water indoors, and a RO system for drinking water...! I was planning to use soft water from the tap.
