    BioCube 29 Next Step

I have had tank raised occ's and ausi black and whites. You can't make them host anything, honestly you can't really persuade them either. They pick all sorts of corals and nems to host. Mine have hosted duncans and paly polyps, mushrooms and xenia, and a huge geniopora. I also had to remove all...

    Help. Fish getting into Overflow!

I use egg crate material from lowes or your local hardware store. Egg crate is the white light panels for industrial building lights. With the little squares. Cut it to size to sit over your hole. I saw you have a cube. If your problem is them getting in the back then I use cut your own filter...

    What are these?

I don't have any other pairs besides the cardinals. Im not sure of anything else that I have that would lay eggs. Do fish or inverts lay eggs without a mate?

    Majano anenome

I would take it out. Their neat but can quickly get out of hand. Took me 6 months to rid them from mine.

    Majano anenome

Don't feed it whatever you do. I had one and I fed it, it split 5 times. I didn't know it was a majano until after it split a couple times.

    Call the hippo tang police

A study done with ciclids(brackish water) showed that with frequent water changes the fish grew significately faster. Skimming helps to control the growth because it prolongs the time between water changes. Tangs and all other saltwater fish will grow no matter what, but you can slow the growth...

    Starting Up A Nano!

Another thing to remember is that their are all kinds of toxic Corals and fish. Even Palys have a neurotoxin that can harm corals, fish and even yourself. Always wash your hands after handling zoas or Palys and even leathers. Never touch your eyes, nose or mouth(any mucous membranes).

That's something ya'll need to decide. It's very possible to keep a cowfish. You just have to be a little more careful. Put in plenty of research before adding other fish/inverts to check compatibility. Keep him fed well and he should be fine. There a peaceful fish so it shouldn't attack itself...

I am now giving these to scuba and unfortunately I don't think I will get anymore clowns. Maybe later ill dedicate a tank with a nem for some but theres too much...

    clownfish hosting pains

So I have some Palys that I think are darth mahls. My clownfish hosted them and after a six month time a nice sized branched colony depleted to 5 polyps or so. I moved it to the back of my tank and they left it alone. Bought a piece today that is similar but a different shape. Same color pretty...

Careful with your water params. The cowfish is poisonous when stressed.

Help! Basslet is attacking new dottyback!

Thus the importance of research before purchase. Dottybacks, grammas, wrasse and blennies are best kept one to a tank. Sometimes there are exceptions to the rule but it can be stressful and costly trying to break them. Big tanks have more lee-way with the rules but its even harder to catch them if...

If I were you and I was because I had an aitapsia breakout I would go buy 6-8 peppermint shrimp. Do mild feedings for a week or so. I will force the shrimp to eat them all. May take 2 weeks but they will get them all.
