Yea play with it. Turn the flow down and give it a minute. Maybe you just need more water. Be sure not to overfill otherwise you'll flood your tank and house. Your just not equalizing. Your overflow will only drop water into the sump as fast as the pump can work. And if the overflow isn't...
You need to put a ball valve on the return end of your return pump. Your pump is to big for the overflow. You just need to dial the return down a little.
Glad to hear that the noise stopped.
You know, I don't know. Worth a shot. Another thing I've read, never tried, is to get a piece of purlap sack or something like it, and basically wrap the coral lightly so it has contact with the rock, and rubber band it for a few days. The bag allows the coral to stay in place while still able...
Thank you. Been a lot of work but I enjoy it a lot. My wife and daughter love it too.
I wanted them to spread too. Be careful what you wish for. I am being overrun by shrooms. That is just one rock in the corner of my tank. They are spread out all over. It does look nice though. You just have...
This is how my lighting looks, I just recently switched from 4 t-5 to 4-t5 and 2-150w mh. Really amazing what lighting will do for your tank.
This is before with my old T5 fixture
After with the mh
Happy corals
The bubbles on the back are just an accumulation of micro bubbles...
I've seen that picture before. It is a beautiful tank. Has be in the neighborhood of 500+g.
I'm trying to understand your lighting. Their 50/50 compact fluorescent bulbs. I was thinking it was a power compact but wow I'm off today. I'm sure the 20w will be plenty. That's 8w per gallon. Should...
What type of light did you get? How big is your tank? Depending on how long the system has been set up and your parameters it might be ok. If you have a chocolate star then the sexy grip most definitely will have a go at the star. Eating it slowly till there is nothing left.
Sounds like a plan, I think they do better in pairs. I am not sure where I found that info I just remember from my research that their primary diet is stars. It my be worth a shot I just don't want you to spend the money on something and It won't make it. I recently picked up 30lbs of lr to add...
I was just looking over your thread and you were talking about painting the bottom. That sounds like a good idea. If you we're still looking for suggestions I would suggest krylon fusion gloss black. I have used it before and the black really makes colors pop. And krylon fusion is paint for...
