My question would be does the light produced from lightning have anything in it that "normal light" doesn't?

So I found a 300 gallon tank but the silicone was removed. Does anyone have experience with building or repairing tanks? The price has me drooling but I'm worried that I may end up with 5 sheets of nice glass rather than an aquarium. How difficult is it to redo the seals? Is it worth it?

Following along. I have the same problem with shrimp eating a ltp. I've since moved all my shrimp to my sump.

I'd also have another look at your tank. 8x4x2 should be more than 300 gallons. If my math is correct you would be looking at close to 480 gallons.

You could look into an auto top off. It would fill your tank as needed. I've been looking into getting one from Tunze.

Just got mine finished. I had a premade 10g but upgraded when I was given a 55g tank. A sheet of plex and some silicone and now I have this monster. Hope this pic attaches.
