Is your dimmable?having them full blast at 100% will give you that spotlight affect?also (depending on corals you have) having them too close to the waterline will do a lot of harm to coral.another thing ....what optic lenses are on your unit?
I just ordered the sca-302 for my 60 cube..I read a lot of great things(including mods)about this skimmer.so far I haven't read anything bad about it.I know that people been using this skimmer for a couple of years so maybe they will chime in on their results.

Very nice setup and well worth the money.i would get new sand,fill the tank with rodi water and distilled white vinegar for 24 hours to rid any living organisms,go to Home Depot and get yourself some muriatic acid to soak ALL that live rock.being that your going to have to start fresh as that...
