    Light for new Refugium

Would a Marineland LED up to 30" be good for a refugium? I am going to be keeping some good algae and live rock along with possibly having coral frags in there. Any advice?

    Sump

Thanks for the advice. I have tried it with both 1 tube and 2. With one tube it doesn't pull enough water over to keep up with the return pump. Two seems to be just right. And do you mean connecting the air line into a pump like a Venturi you'd have on a skimmer?

    Sump

Water will move from one tank to the other using a syphon. I researched a lot about this and have test many different problems and found a lot more people do this than you would think. My over flow box doesn't get here till Friday so I Am still testing and tweaking things everyday.

    Sump tank build

I have cut the power to each one at a time, and all together and both tanks equal out and then once plugged back in goes back working fine. The whole set up only has to last me a year or so till I get a new place and move everything over to a 90 gallon tank.

    Coralife super skimmer parts

I need the strainer and Venturi part more than the hose. I really don't care about that part. But I had a bit of luck tonight and my buddy found it so it all good now! Thanks for the help!

    Sump tank build

I took everyone's advice and went to all my local fish store and no one drills tanks because of the risk of breaking. I also went to a local glass place and they said they don't drill tanks so I went back to the sump idea and I have pics of the progress. I have had it running in the garage for 6...

    Coralife super skimmer parts

I was given a used Coralife Super Skimmer from a friend of mine and it doesn't have the air inlet/strainer with it and he can't find it. I looked all over online but the only way to get that part is to get the whole pump itself. I have the pump I just need that piece. Does anyone know where I...

    Sump

What kinda off disaster are we talking about? I don't have the tools to drill them and I am on a strict budget because my hours just got cut at work.

    Watchman goby?

I had a Pink Spotted Watchman for two years and he was great. Moved the sand around a lot and burrowed a home. Never bothered any other fish or invertebrate I had. Sadly he some how snuck through a small hole by my light bar and died while I was at work. My sure you have a secure lid!

Sump filter plan, what do you think?

Do to the size of my stand I am limited to putting only a 10 gallon tank for my sump. My buddy and I came up with a plan to put two10gallons side be side and connect them with a U tube. We tested it at the pet shop where he works without the chambers and it work. Here is a pic, tell me what you...

    Sump

Ok, Update. In tanking with a buddy the manages a local pet store and also has build custom sumps for many people we have came up with a plan to put two 10 gallon tanks side by side and connect them together. I am going to get a picture of the design up in a bit. We tested it out at his store...
