Stocking questions for a 55g tank

Moving the Raphael on is definitely the best option, 6 corys is a much better number and they should be much happier. If you want in a tank that size you could even do a group of 3 to 4 gourami's even all males if you didn't want to deal with fry down the track. IMO with tetras the more you have...

    67 Gallon Stocking

The ram, bristlenose and a few neons came from a 20 gallon I had set up and once I saw the size that the plecos had gotten to and the waste they produced I pulled the new tank out of my dads garage and set it up for them. The largest of the bristlenose is roughly 4 inches and it was horrible...

Trying to plan a new setup

Hi Cohen 40 gallons should be fine for a single green spotted puffer IMO but it will need something to stimulate it as they are very curios and active fish. Not sure about the substrate

    Honey gourami

Hi I had a pair of honey gourami’s in a 20 gallon along with panda cory’s and neon tetras and I think they definitely enjoy the company of a partner as do most gourami’s if you can you should definitely get a pair

Hey Ok I think I’m going to go with the single keyhole and then 4 pearls as well as 7 cory’s. Temporarily I have an internal filter rated for 45 gallons and a HOB filter rated for 35 gallons but should soon be upgrading to an ehiem canister filter. Also are there any good quite hardy small...

    help picking new betta

Hey better If you wanted another one but didn't want to set up a second aquarium you could get a female betta to go with your male if you slowly introduce the female there shouldn't be very much aggression. On the topic of betta species one of my favourites is the half-moon which I personally...

Stocking questions for a 55g tank

Hi Again, Yeah King is definitely right about the Raphael (sorry didn't recognise the Latin name) My uncle used to have some but they where with large SA cichlids and you would likely have trouble with smaller fish in the future as well as territory issues with the Cory's. If you have already...

    67 Gallon Stocking

Hey thanks for the quick responses If I was to go with 3 pearls would you recommend a ratio of male to female. Also I can’t really have only 1 Pleco I already have all three situated in the tank would it be possible to switch the Cory’s out for something else and keep both the keyholes...

Stocking questions for a 55g tank

Im certainly no expert but it might be a good idea to get more Cory cats because they generally prefer to be in larger groups of around 6. Another possible addition to your tank might be a species of dwarf cichlid, personally I've only kept rams but they definitely make colourful and interesting...
