I agree with tecwzrd with po4,and would also think about a magnesium test. If that is low (700) it will be hard to maintain proper ca2. NSW has about 1300,which is what you should shoot for. P.S. this is only something I read,I do not speak from experience.I don't even have the magnesium test...

melosu58, if you don't mind I would like to know what Salt mix you use and what percent of a WC you do and how often? I am interested because if you can keep your Ca2 at 420 without adding anything else that would be great! Thanks, Ryan

Ok guys thanks for the replies,I have been reading and asking around on some other forums.Apparantly the copper adsorbs onto all surfaces including the glass and especially the calcium based sand bed i have in the tank right now,because when I added the salt, traces of copper began to leech out...

Most people that say get a new tank tell me that it would need to test ppb(parts per billon) In my exact situation,what would you do roca? Money is pretty tight right now but should get better after Christmas
