I just bought a Betta a few days ago to replace one that died in my planted 15G tank. Well he turned out to be extremely aggressive to my other fish so I ended up buying a cheap 5 gallon for him and now am looking for a replacement.
Instead of going with another Betta I was thinking a Honey...
Those silicone sticky pads work on friction and probably wont work underwater.
I would just use small dabs of clear Silicon such as GE Silicone 1. You should be able to pull the decorations apart fairly easily. Basically any silicone caulk that has no mold or mildew inhibitors and is pure...
Bought a couple normal 2 liter bottles and the issue has been resolved. Not sure if I waited longer for the pressure to build in the 2.5s would have worked, but had no issues with correct size bottles.
So I bought the equipment for a baking soda and citrus acid CO2 system for my tank but having some issues getting up to pressure.
I think it may because I went and bought two bottles of cheap dollar store cola to use and then found out that they are actual 2.5 liters apiece. Could the extra 1...
Ended up getting a 1/2 inch inside diameter tube and it was perfect. I don't know how anyone got a 3/8 to fit and 1/2 is more then tight enough and even took using some hot water to soften the tubing enough to slip fully on.
Mines not even touching the bottom and hangs from the outlet connector. I may end up just cutting off all but one suction cup and have the others just act as rubber feet but I do want it to actually rest on the bottom.
I've found conflicting reports of the tube being 3/8 inch inside diameter...
As the title suggests what is the correct size of tubing for the included pump? I want to replace the one that it came with as its a little too short and I cant properly stick the pump to the bottom of the tank.
Yeah I'm crushing them as I see them and my Betta seems to love them. Saw him hunting them as well so hopefully he can take a few for me. Worst comes to worse Ill bait them out with some lettuce to control their numbers
So as I was looking at my tank tonight I noticed a few small snails, as the only snail in there is a Nerite i literally bought today I assume they came in on the plants. Are these also Nerites by chance or something else?
I replaced my 10 Gallon Standard All Glass Aquarium with a new tank but I planned on using the 10 gal just for a planted tank with no fish (unless there's an emergency) however the silicone needs to be replaced. While taking off the silicone though the top plastic trim was lose and bottom piece...
Thanks for all the help. I was just curious, Ill stick with some Neons most likely as the Betta is a bright cherry red with a little blue and the neons would look go along side it. May get a few ghost shrimps just as cleaners and if the Betta hunts them down and eats them then so be it.
Amazon has some Cyberpower UPS 1500VA/900watt for about 150 USD that you can use for the heaters. For oxygen you can use the tried and true Hydrogen Peroxide and Potato oxygen generator with an air-stone.
Honestly though if you have long periods of no power maybe invest in a small gasoline...
So I recently upgraded to a nice planted Fluval Flux 15 gallon. Right now it has 4 Cory (I've had for years) and a Betta I felt bad for him so I impulsed bought him. I was thinking of going the typical Neon or other Tetra route with him but got to thinking about doing a Sorority of Female...
