It's a Molly in a 40 gallon tank and yes.

Alright I'll keep that in mind.

But my beta and one of my ghost shrimp share the same rock o.O actually its the shrimp that's the more aggressive towards the other shrimp.

I have a 5 gallon I keep in my bedroom as a recovery tank when one of my fish shows any signs of illness or I get new fish from the store. Is that ok? I mean yeah I have fish that wouldn't be happy in there occasionally but my intention is still to have them moved into my 40 gallon.

Does anybody know any cures for when a fish has dropsy?

I Think my black mollies have skin rot. (large patches of a white looking rash) I want to know how contagious it is to my other fish and a way I can treat it?

Is there a certain kind of salt I should use? Should it be something I pick up at the pet store or the kind of salt that sits around my house?

When I lived with my dad my aquarium was always on the second floor. I have I think a 50 gallon. It now stays with me in my apartment which is, also, on the second floor. First floor is always no doubt the better choice, but the second shouldn't really be a problem if it's what you really want...

Oh, and I have a 40 or 50 (can't remember) gallon tank. How much salt should I put in? And what kind of salt?
