    Wave 15 pico build!

When I introduce shrimp and inverts, I'll pour the bag water into a large Tupperware container, then using a small piece of air line tubing with a valve I would drip my tank water into the Tupperware until the container is full or 25 min. It works great, no losses. Try it out.

PH can swing depending on time you tested, make sure you buffer water to help stabilize the swings. I add mine in the AM. 7.8 is ok, not much lower. It can go up to 8.4(highest).

First of many questions I'm sure.

Regarding the bc skimmer, I felt the same way for the first 2 months...too small (crap) I upped the air pump and continued to adjust, had good results since.over a year now. New water produces little TOC, hang in there with skimmer.

First of many questions I'm sure.

The only down fall is that trickle filters create nitrate, which is good at first but.... Skimmers actually removes TOC. 45$ well worth it over the long haul.

First of many questions I'm sure.

When I started up my bc I used tap water, then loaded up on macro algae any type, I mean a lot of algae, added the little bc skimmer, and a single clown, ran it 2 weeks, then removed 1/2 the macro algae and added 20lbs of nice cured rock. It was so smooth it was scary.

    Hawkfish in my tank?

Thinking about getting a hawkfish for my 14g Biocube, no fish right now, only corals and macro algae. Any feedback?

    Ten gal bf!

I would, and put in screening over top the under gravel, then load 4-5 inches of crushed coral. Bye bye nitrate!

Load your tank with macro algae, as much as you can find, no more phos!

    please ID?? Possible cyano outbreak.

I've found that adding as much macro algae to my tanks, has eliminated most phos. and nuisance algae.
