Hi,
Im just after a bit of info regarding these 2 species...
I have 2 tanks but im considering getting rid of 1 to make a bit of room. In 1 tank i have Cherry reds and in the other i have the Amino shrimp... now, would i be able to combine both species into 1 tank or would the bigger Amino...
theres been a few strands of Java moss in with her but she's looked happy enough standing on the bottom.
she was eating the past few days but i've not noticed her eat anything today...
Hi,
I have a poorly CRS... about a week ago i found him stuck to my filter inlet slots (its a juwel monolux 60) and thought she was a goner but she was still alive. she was absolutely fine except that her front legs where a little out of shape so i isolated her to see if she gets better as i...
Best thing is though whatever the problem is with the guppy tail, melafix and primafix will cure most things that could be wrong! only thing it doesn't seem to cure is white spot unfortunately!
have to disagree with that last comment - i like the tea tree of Melafix, Primafix reminds me of a strong alcoholic shot that someone alsways seems to buy the group when out.... reminds me of BAD hangovers! lol
LOL stop it i just panicked then! on my bottles it says after the 7 days so i guess i just finish the course then pwc... just seems like a long time... tank smells lovely too!
DK, can i ask whilst treating with Primafix and Melafix would you still do water changes? i have both these and am currently treating tank for the 7 day period but would i leave whilst treating or do water changes in between????
ah cheers. i just can't believe it.... was worried about her gills then she goes and gets stuck! im a nervous wreck with these fish! lol. they do have little personalities i think.... thats why i like them... not going to replace any other fish and just have guppies and platties only... they're...
yeah they're definately slits. i've read that this just happens but i just thought i best check it out though as i noticed slits on 3 of them at once!
everyone seems ok though and nobody has anymore slits so i presume it was just something that happened... just trying to not stress them out at...
well well sods law.... she died! not due to anything with the gills.... she found a space to swim in and got stuck and died! totally gutted but what can ya do. i've blocked that hole off now so hopefully nobody else can go up there! it is only guppies though that love to get into trouble! very...
it started with a baby with a slit tail but the other 2 guppies where adults. well woke up today and all seem to be none worse and all are absolutely fine except for the same slits so im hoping there is a good chance that it isn't a bacterial problem.
it is only the tails that have that 1 slit -...
Unfortunately i have another problem now.... i noticed a baby guppy with a slit tail (2 slits actually). Now i have read up on this and whilst it is a sign of bacterial infection it can also be absolutely nothing but upon taking a closer look in the tank i noticed 2 other guppies with splits in...
ah cheers Jim. yeah i thought i better leave her to see how she is getting on... unfortunately i have another problem now.... i noticed a baby guppy with a slit tail (2 slits actually) now i read up on this and whilst it is a sign of bacterial infection it can also be absolutely nothing but upon...
well she seems absolutely fine and has been. she's not diminished or stopped eating, nore is anyone else showing any simlar signs so i think it must've been due to her pregnancy but if anyone knows any different please let me know.
Cheers
