    My 90g Reef Adventure....

First off, I just want to say sorry for not getting back to everyone right away. We took some extra time off and enjoyed a really long labor day weekend. It was nice to get away. I will keep this in mind when building it......thank you. Well the water would flow through the bubble trap at...

    My 90g Reef Adventure....

Yeah, I meant to do that but was in a rush when I drew that up. I plan to have it go all the way to the end of the refugium. I'm thinking the same thing about the waterfall but I'm still curious to know if I put 2 more baffles in place, if it would help that. Kinda give the water more "ups...

    My 90g Reef Adventure....

Here's the design with my measurements (not much different than Idaho Tank's): I think the trap is too narrow.....

    My 90g Reef Adventure....

This is what I worry about with this design. Unless the sump is wide, I don't see how you can have an effective refugium and bubble trap in the same width. I was thinking much like you but have my ref. 7" wide and bubble trap only 5" but now I am 2nd guessing it. I wonder if more traps would...

    FOWLR to REEF transition

There are two different readings for ALK. I believe you tested one way and are seeing the expected readings for the other way. 2nd to last paragraph Alkalinity for Marine Systems

Is this because the bubble trap is to narrow or to wide?

    My 90g Reef Adventure....

Here's a design I used for my last 55g sump (for my 155g tank) and I loved it, but there was 1 issue; I made the skimmer zone too small, so it could only house the skimmer pump (not the UV pump or phosban reactor pump). Plus the waterflow from the skimmer zone to the refugium was too fast, so...

    My 90g Reef Adventure....

Thanks Jim....I'm still a little undecided at the moment. My wife and I bought a pair of mated clowns a couple of nights ago. They are a mature pair of gold stripe maroon clowns. The female is a biggie! They both have beautiful markings and coloration and get along SO well. Right now she's...

    My 90g Reef Adventure....

I've been thinking of getting some red/blue legged crabs......are they ok for a reef tank? I've only had them in my FOWLR tank.

Patience worn thin, need some HELP!

I agree....sometimes it's not worth the headache of draining, sealing, redraining, etc. as you have already done. Not too sure where you live but Craig's List is a great source of aquariums herein FL. I know it means getting a "used" one again, but truthfully, you don't come across too many...

    My 90g Reef Adventure....

No, the last pic is just a piece of rock with some algae growing on it....I wasn't too sure if it was hair algae or not, so I posted it to see if someone knew. My PH on the right side keepys falling off so I don't know if I have to get a new one or if they sell new suction cups for those...

where to place a pulsing zenia

Super glue works great....but I've found that you need to get the GEL....once you paste that on, let it sit for about a minute and it's ok to go in the water (it may still be a little loose but it'll harden). Yeah, be careful of what you wish for....I put a really small stem in a 3/4" PVC plug...
