I'd buy alot more plants, and definitely do the black background.
trash bag would most likely get wrinkly and have air bubbles. paper background is glossy and looks ALOT cleaner and makes things pop out. are you fertilizing occasionally? it really does help.
I would also try some more...
i have a 16g planted tank, and i am pretty new to it also, but it gives the aquarium a whole new interesting aspect and you wont get bored. start out w/ some of those beginner plants. change the bulb in your hood to a flourescent reef bulb (50/50) it's still kinda weak but it'll be way better...
i had to euthanize a fish that was in bad shape and i actually put him in the freezer in a zip loc bag w/ some of his tank water. I figured the gradual but quick drop in temperature would slow down his metabolism and he really wouldn't suffer that much. is this true?
Okay, so i bought this tetra water wonders 16 gallon tank. I like the hood, and the overall look really matches w/ my apartment decor. even though I know the filter it comes with sucks. The hood looks really nice.
It comes with an internal whisper 10i filter, (NOT NEARLY ENOUGH FOR ANYTHING)...
Hey, I've had tanks before. Came to college so I stopped for a couple o' years. I gotta buy a new tank, since I gave my old 2 tanks to family.
Im going to buy a 29 gallon. I was thinking of putting a bala shark, a rainbow shark, and 4 or 5 glass cats. (maybe a cory or 2?)
What do you all...
