I think I will go with bristle nose, I was looking around the LFS and I can't find any of the loaches.. That,l have to be next pay though they're bloody expensive.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that after cycling for a week I have added 5 platys and 2 mollies :) they seem to be doing great :D now I just need the cleaners :)

I like the sound of the tetras and platys! Not overly keen on the loaches though ? They'd be the clean up crew I'm guessing?

Yeah I've looked on there before and they seem pretty reasonable, I think they're in Queensland though and they only offer the local delivery on tanks, unfortunately ACT isn't local enough I don't think :/ :)

Oh and here is a tank update, I've added gravel and plants just need a big rock to go in there now :)

I do agree now that I have done some more research, I would be able upgrade tanks around Christmas time, so could I put some juveniles in a 20 gallon and then move them into a 3ft 40 gallon ? Just thinking of some options! I will check Craigslist and a couple of other second hand sites as well...

Thanks everyone for the info! Would it be possible to have 2 females in a 20 gallon at all that way you don't have to worry about any breeding happening?
