I've been looking for the 300w Rena but it's discontinued. Some say lack of sales, some say issues. I believe the former. I have 2 Rena xP3 filters on my 120xh so was thinking maybe adding a 150w on each intake but can't find them either. I see online for around $30 but with $40+ in shipping as...
Okay. The instructions on that video did help. The micro bubbles have stopped and water is clearer now. Now to get this cycled and am following the many instructions on here for that as well. Thanks!!
Thanks for the ideas so far. I had the filters off for a bit and there is no leaking. I will let them sit overnight and see what happens. I'm thinking micro-bubbles too so have to figure out where it's coming from or if just need to settle. . I had both of these filter hooked up to my 37g for a...
So I just got a 120g XH tank set up over the past few days. 125lbs of gravel (rinsed over an hour and a half) with 2 Rena Filstar xP3 canister filters set up and running. I woke up to what appears to be little white particles or micro-bubbles floating around and gathering like scum on the...
Second one was dead this morning, missing for several hours until I took out fake rock formations and after some massive shaking, it was dislodged. Still no other fish active differently and all parameters are good so it must have been too much for these two. Thanks for the identification and...
Well, I got up this morning to one having died. The other is still lurking around in hiding and no other fish acting differently. :-( I've read a lot that this could possible be Malawi bloat and to try not feeding for a WEEK to allow bowels to clear? That seems a bit extreme. Opinions?
They both get food but go right back into hiding after. Now that I know they need algae too I will add that to my feeding schedule. I've never "seen" any of the others be aggressive to them.
Thanks for the replies. That's 3 for these 2 being Kribs so I'm fairly convinced! My PH is steady at 7.6 to 7.8 depending on the light avail when I test with the API liquid kit. Would these guys live peacefully with bala sharks, false SAEs, cat sharks and Cory cats?
Hi, I have a 1 month old 37g "Assorted African Cichlid" tank. I did a fish less cycle well in advance of adding stock and my readings are 0-0-10. If you look at the attached pics, all fish are active except for two of the kind I show in the individual shot. Both of these either sit, hiding at...
Not going to take much time here. I bought WRMillers 37g tank when he upgraded, set it up as a freshwater planning to stock with various African Cichlids. For the past 2 mornings my readings are 0-0-160. Going into maintenance mode now to feed the bacteria until I can get my fish. Will do the...
