hello. I have a 55 G freshwater aquarium, that's been set up about 4 months now. I have always had the brown algae on the inside of the glass. But now there is other algae growing everywhere, that looks like "hair". The light is on about 12 to 14 hours a day. Is this algae bad to have, and is...
hello. I have 6 male guppies and 1 snail, which have been together for months without issues. Last night I did a partial water change. Today I have noticed sperm looking things swimming around. The fish don't seem to be interested in eating them, and I even witnessed some getting pulled into...
Can anyone tell from this short video clip, or pics, if my plants are healthy or dying? Not knowing is killing me. Sometimes my water doesn't test well and if my plants are dying, then it should help by removing them. Thanks
I had an earlier thread asking for suggestions on what to do with my sick pregnant Molly. But I would like to be more descriptive on her symptoms and maybe somebody has an idea of what she is suffering from. For the most part she remains vertical with her lips to the gravel, while twisting and...

I had this plant in my 55G Fresh for a week before I learned it is a SEMI aquatic plant. I removed it so it doesn't poison my water as it dies. Anyone happen to know the kind?
The title of this thread says it all.
My snail was all the way to the top of a 55 gallon when it slid off, and bounced off a large rock decor at the bottom. Can these impacts break his shell and lead to death?
I just added a 7th male guppy to an all male guppy tank, and I can't tell if he is an aggressive fish or just playing. He is now the largest and he seems persistent with one in particular. Perhaps he's battling with the previous alpha? Should I move him because it was a very peaceful tank?
I was in the market for a 30 gallon aquarium. I looked online for the dimensions and I noticed the 30 gallon was listed as a breeder, and above that was a 29 gallon with totally different dimensions. What exactly is the difference besides dimensions? It would be for a freshwater community...
