    New fish!!

I would be more inclined to go for larger chromis. Lions mouths get pretty big compared to the rest of their bodies so you would have to get damsels that get fairly large and in my experience larger damsels can be a bit of a pest because they can be aggressive. But then again they wouldn't...

    engineer goby vs sailfin

Anybody have any ideas on how to get my engineer goby more active? I have never kept one before but fell in love with it in the shop but now it just hides! I know they're predominately nocturnal and have been told they're quite social fish but he was much more active in the shop! I think my...

    New fish!!

I would be careful with damsels especially as lions are nocturnal feeders. Trigger would be fine. I would agree about getting larger ones, how big is the lion atm? I've never kept that kind so don't know how big it will get? Thought it was a fu man chu :-s sorry hard to see on my phone! What...

    New FOWLR

This setup looks amazing with your aquascaping! Gonna look great with fish! You can always add coral later if you wanted, but this will stand out either way! Nice work!

    New fish!!

Lol well as long as you don't buy anything that will fit in his mouth you'll be ok, live rock in the background looks good too! I got a 400 litre tank plus sump (sorry I know this is an American site but I don't work in gallons plus an American gallon is different to a UK gallon - gets too...

    HELP...My tank won't cycle!

I think people misunderstand what I mean. Every time a fish is added to a tank there is a cycling process I.e. a rise in ammonia then nitrite but the extent of this is determined by how mature the tank is. I agree that the the cycling process is nearly done due to the fact the ammonia levels in...

    HELP...My tank won't cycle!

I wouldn't worry about using fish to cycle a tank, that's exactly how its done in the freshwater hobby it just costs more to do in the marine one! Make sure you buy cured living rock if you buy some, because if you buy uncured you'll have big ammonia spikes. I would buy fijian cured as I think...

    HELP...My tank won't cycle!

I would agree with the other guy, live rock would help massively although its not essential in a fish only aquarium. If you've got the money invest in live rock and a protein skimmer. If not then you're going to need some more filtration systems (bio balls aren't great). Try getting some second...
