    opps

Take some tank water out & the driftwood & soak the wood in a new container or new bucket with tank water. Change the water out that the wood is in until it's clear, then put the wood back in the tank. I suggest you buy a bottle of pH Up & keep a close eye on the pH when the wood is in the tank...

You Know You Love Aquariums When.....

When you look at your Aquatic Life pH Controller every time you walk by the tank. When you name your fish. When you use a Python Gravel Vaccuum. When you use Algone. When you do water changes at least once a month. :):fish2:

    Water conditioner disaster.

I've used that product. It lowers the pH. Also, you need to make sure you have enough aeration (water flow & air pump) for your fish when using it. Go to www.algone.com & purchase their product. It reduces nitrate, it's EXTREMELY safe & keeps your tank sparkly clean. :):fish2:

    Stocking question

Fry The fry (offspring) of the barbs might become a meal for the eclipse catfish & gourami. Not sure if all barbs get along. I'm fairly sure they don't. I know cherry barbs are not as aggressive as the barbs you have, but you don't have cherry barbs. Sorry I'm not a "barb expert." I like the...

What Interesting Bottom Feeders Are There, Other Than Plecos and Cories?

Bottom Feeders Botia/loaches are nice & colorful bottom feeders. I recently purchased a whiptail catfish...VERY COOL FISH! :fish2:They can school together or you can just get 1. The same goes for the botia/loaches. With the botia/loaches, sometimes they lay on their side & play dead, like a...

Pearl Danios picking on Harlequin Rasboras

I have some Pearl Danios in my tank. I suggest you get 3 Giant Danios. The Giant Danios won't pick on other fish & they might keep the Pearl Danios "in check." Hope this helps. :fish2:

Suggestions for an active, feisty 55 gallon community?

Stay away from the Tiger Barbs. They will nip at every fin in sight. I have kuhlis (striped ones) & as long as you have places for them to hide, you can have fish that are classified as "semi-aggressive" in your tank, just like myself. I have SEVERAL types of loaches in my tank & they get along...

    clown loach advice!!

Possible solution for aggressive Clown Loaches I suggest buying a 3rd Clown Loach. I have 2, but they get along great. It could be because they're male & female. 1 loach has 2 black spots on each side towards the tail. I assume they are mates for life. By buying a 3rd loach, it may keep the 2...
