badfish, no I don't have corals, so I can't help ya there. I honestly never saw the crab do anything but hang out and wait for feeding time.

I had one of those mithrax hitchhiker crabs that looks like yours. Was always very well behaved. Ate whatever I fed the fish and was generally peaceful with everyone in the tank. I know a lot of you say to take them out, but I honestly have never had a mithrax be anything but a peceful neighbor...

I saw him eat, but unfortunately when I got home from work today, he was dead. My mithrax crab was just finishing up on him, if you know what I mean. blah :|

yup, sounds like a worm that lost its feathers if that's the case, they should grow back over a few months time

I have been hearing tapping come from inside my largest piece of live rock for about 6 months. No broken shells or missing livestock. Sometimes its one click, sometimes 2 or 3 together. I assume its a pistol, since no sinister attrocities have happened. Good luck with your "tapper"! :mrgreen:

A feather duster tube can be pretty stiff. Does the yellowy color inside the tube move at all, or is it hard as well?
