Greg, Beautiful tank. And I agree, it’s amazing how long these fish can live in a controlled environment. I just lost a Lemon Damsel I had for 15+ years. The little guy survived having a Volitan Lionfish as a neighbor and a move from my 180 to my 90.

Yea, I got my generator because we seem to be getting 50-100 year wind storms every 2-3 years. Last one knocked out the power for 48 hours. Got a generator and keep gas in the garage? Haven’t needed it. Good insurance policy. Around here “scrappers” would have picked up the carcass by now.

I get it with the expense thing. We decided against it because we want out of our subdivision in the next 2-3 years and move more rural. It might make more sense then as it could take awhile to get it restored.

It’s awesome they were there when you needed them. I’ve often considered a whole house generator for those type of incidents. I have a portable generator that will run my furnace and my tanks’ flow and heat (know from experience) but if it’s the middle of summer, I would never be able to cool...
