its hard to see the leafs on yours, but monte carlo is very round. I think yours is something else. Someone else prolly knows!

how bad is it? what Mebbid said sounds good, but if its REAL BAD... I got hurt and was unable to deal w my tank last year, so algae took over the whole thing. I ended up pulling my betta out and doing this treatment: The "One-Two Punch" Whole Tank Algae Treatment - The Planted Tank Forum...

I got the monte carlo in the OP and it was beauts. took up almost my whole tank. someone should grab the rest of this up for sure.

I was going to say, the picture is small, so it's hard to tell... But he looks kind of old to me. For bettas, warm clean water is usually the biggest factor in keeping them healthy, but looks like youve got that under control, so that could just be it.

right? I want gold tetras, something else, and some little otto cats/shrimp. we're renting right now, but if we ever settle down somewhere and get our own place, that's what I want to get. tiny fish big tank.

oh, but! if I get another tank for the other light, then I have to get rocks and dirt and fish, and what not.... And technically if I do get another tank, what I really want is a 30 gallon long with a giant school of micro fish, so I would even have to get another light for that....! :whistle...

I have the older spec V unfortunately. It's already got a couple burned out LEDs on it. I could still try it I guess though. can I just... add more potassium to my mix? or should I make a seperate one with just K2SO4?

In an older thread we decided that my par was crazy high for such a small tank, so thats what I ended up doing.
