My beautiful blue gourami just died a few weeks ago. Now in my 29 gallon I'm left with 5 harlequin Rasboras, 2 Platy fish, and 1 Molly. I would like to get another colorful "centerpiece" type fish for my tank. I don't want another gourami right now, and unfortunately I can't find any GBRs...
So we had a power outage and so my filters were off for a few hours. When they came back on in my 29 gallon I found these flecks of what looks like some film. It's very sparkly and there are tiny pieces and huge pieces. I tried to pick up some of the larger pieces but once they're out of the...
Yeah my gourami will nip at their tails. She took a hunk out of my Molly's tail but then got used to her and left her alone and the tail has healed back nicely. But I'm sure it depends on the personality of the fish.
Wish you the best of luck!
My blue gourami chases new tank mates for about two days after they're introduced, and then gets used to them and then she's totally peaceful. It might be different with multiple gouramis though. I only have the one gourami who chases her tank mates of other species.
My local pet co is awful, they're fish section is poorly maintained, full of dead fish, and has very few tanks. It is also worked by people who don't let you finish a sentence before they feed you wrong information. My pet smart has tanks that seem to be greatly maintained, I've never seen a...
After a loooot of inner discussion I've decided to invest in a second filter for my 29 gallon tank. I have no immediate need for a second filter, I'd just like my tank to be as healthy as possible.
I currently have a tetra whisper 30 that came with the tank. The tank is heated at 78*F and is...
No, I only have one reputable lfs. My other options are petsmart and petco which have very cheap cories but there's always one or two dead in the tank and I decide against it every time.
I have a 29 gallon tank that I've been working on for a while. It's cycled and filtered and kept at 78*f. I currently have:
1 blue gourami
2 mollies
5 harlequin Rasboras
1 albino bn pleco
I want something to help make the bottom look less bare. I've thought about cories but at the only place...
So I got 5 harlequin Rasboras about a month ago. They are all schooling tightly, very active, and eat very well. However when I fed them this morning one had what looked like a tumor on his side just under his dorsal fin. I don't know if it was there before I noticed it today, but he is still...
my three mollies. They were a gift from someone who didn't know about the gender ratio. So I had to separate the black female into another tank because she was being tormented. But strangely enough my males completely ignore eachother, and they were the ones I was worried about!!!
