Long story short, grandma has a common pleco in her 20 gallon. I do maintenance on the tank so 1. Cleaning up his big mess isnt very fun and 2. He needs a bigger tank and a forever home.
I can put it in my 55 in a couple months if he isnt gone by then.
Anyone interested? Hes 5 inches or so...
Theyre cousins of the Betta. They can be aggressive towards each other, so watch out for that as it can lead to casualities. If theyre all females, they might be fine. But if theyre all males.. Which they probably are as they are more colorful than females, you will most likely have problems...
Im not sure how to post picture from my phone otherwise I would.
But no, they dont look like that. They kins of looked like they had a centerpoint and little feathery things came off that cEnterpiece. Whatever they were either settled or got sucked up the fiter.
I just did a 25% water change as usual, but this time when I put the light back on.. Theres white feathery looking thinga floating around. Some are as big as this -> . And some are as long as two inches, others are no wider than a dime. The sizes vary. I picked out some of the bigger ones with a...
It could be it's natural color, Ive just never seen like that one before. And tamtam, it looks nothing like it. It was a matte orange, the fish wasnt shiny.
It looked like it was powdered on, but its whole body was covered. They had it labeled as something copper betta... I wish I could remember!!!!
I know a picture would help, but I didnt take one:(
There was a betta at petland in one of their planted tanks and it was a rusty color. It really almost looked like it was spray painted on, but it was so pretty. I was tempted to buy it and put it in my 20 gallon until i get my 55 set up. Part of its eye was even a rusty color.
Has anyone seen a...
I have school of neons and one looks a lot plumper than the other. I cant tell the different between male and females, but could it pregnant? Or could it be getting all the food? I dont think its a disease of some sort.
Also, theres a clust of white/beigh things aboit an inch from the water...
I'm afraid of that happening, thats why Im not 100% stuck on them. I like the look of them and it's a little different, but I dont want it snatching up my fish.
I have a 55g sitting in my garage waiting to be cycled, so since that will be in a few months, Im just trying to plan everything out to keep me busy.
It will have sand, i want live plants, but not ones that need a lot of care and light. Suggestions?
So what I want -
1 peacock eel
1 leopard...
I thought about getting some of these for my rather dull 55g. Are they better off in pairs and how are they in a community? Any other info would be nice too :)
