- I have 3 main tanks, one temporary tiny one that i have pregnant platies in until the fry are born. 2 of the main tanks are 2foot, 54litres roughly, one has 1 week old platy fry in, the other has 2male and 2female platys, 2 male guppies and 2females, and 5 inch long BN plecos, until theyre bigger when i will put 2 into my 90 odd litre tank and one in the other 2foot. These 2ft tanks both have live plants in. My 3ft ish tank has 5 goldfish and about 6 danios. there are also 3 smal lgold loaches in there, along with live plants. This tank has been running for around a year with no problems or deaths at all. Ph, nitrates, ammonia levels are all normal. Except in my 2ft tank with the platys, guppies etc in. Ph is 7.4 so fine, nitrates fine, but nitrite is slighty above normal and ammonia is at about 4, trying to lower without much luck!
