So I have yet to fill in my 40 G with salt water and such, I have about 30 LR that is in a 14g atm that I will transfer there when I set it up. I know now LR Will act as my filter. Should I have another filter like a DSB(is it reccomended for a beginner)? Should the DSB be in a small refugium...

So got just a 40g tank, I'm getting my lights soon for corals... I plan It to be a reef tank with 3-4 fish MAX. I just clicked on an ad on this site for Aquaripure.... Is it a great product? Any one using it? How is it... Worth the money? Better then a protein skimmer? Does it do the samething...

Im mainly wanting to get this because i only have space for a 40g and below... so 37T fits that criteria... and a great filter -though ill get a protein skimmmer in 3 months or 4- and the pet store worker was truthful enough what fish to get (or not get) and why -needs an established tanked...

hmm but that could be easily fixed if I just put a ton of LR and put the corals around mid level? Right? Or no lol or have the ones like polyps and mushroom at the bottom only if needed be?

I have ammonia/ph/kh/nitrite test kit I only did it twice, once with 3 small cubes of brine shrimp on the 13th , and probably 4 days worth of flakes for a small community of fish today. LR? Hmm maybe 15-20 pounds in a 14g nano

I don't have that (at the moment lol) so I just put a bunch of frozen brine shrimp and fish flakes in hope its like a cocktail shrimp lol

So Hiatt's Right Now! Bacteria +tri carbon claims to fully cycle a saltwater tank in 24-48 hours /if/ I follow the instuctions.... is this true? Does anyone have experience with this? I also put some nutrafin cycle... which i read on some reviews that it doesn't actually cycle the tank but...

So Flake says my tank isnt cycled, I'm probably starting over soon with my SW and move it to a bigger tank once said tank has cycled on its own for a month. Hopefully these live till them

No the kit I bought has only pH/KH/GH/Ammonia/Nitrite abit longer then a week @_x. It my mother's and I experiment tank so to speak. Our trainer one till we're ready for a bigger one. Its a 14g/12g we bought on Craiglist that was brand new. The urchin was purchased the second day and was fine...
