Celestial Pearl Danios - buy now or later?

Sure! I ended up buying them on way my home. I tried dirting both my tanks at the new house but it failed miserably so I ended up having to tear them down again and I used flourish capped with sand. I ended up fine though and they're doing great now :) I also have two anchor fish in there now...

Asian River Cats/Anchor Fish and CO2 supplementation

Yes, liquid carbon is what I meant. But am I mistaken in believing that adding carbon of any form can affect the dissolved oxygen levels? I was sure someone had told me as much on another thread. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

Asian River Cats/Anchor Fish and CO2 supplementation

I have a 10 gallon well planted with 8 celestial pearl danios and 2 Asian river cats/anchor fish. I originally had 3 but one just died :( I had difficulties getting them to eat at first but now they are eating frozen bloodworms if I put them in after dark (I've been a me to see then eating). I...

    Live plants

If the majority of your leaves are green and healthy, that's not so bad. Mine are lush and healthy but I still have to pinch off the older leaves as they yellow when new leaves grow from the center. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Live plants

If you are able to get your hands on them they'll definitely help with your swords. Mine will turn yellow and get holes from deficiencies without them, and are beautiful and green with them. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Live plants

I've always heard 5-10 minutes, which is what I've done, and I've never had a problem. I did boil my driftwood longer to help get rid of tannins though :p and if you can keep your plant in there long enough, swords develop an enormous root system that will hold them even in shallow substrate...

Help with hardscaping lava rock in a 10 gal!

That's a beautiful tank! And yes, what I'm most concerned with is picking plants that will stay small enough not to take over the hardscape I've done since it's so small to begin with. Id love any more recommendations you or anyone else has for a teeny tiny carpet plant that's not crazy hard to...

Help with hardscaping lava rock in a 10 gal!

Thank you! And Yep, the last picture it was capped with sand. The real challenge will be picking the right plants I think, and getting them to grow correctly. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

Help with hardscaping lava rock in a 10 gal!

Okay, thanks. I do have rocks in the hills already to stabilize them, but I think it's a good idea to make the sand thicker on the hills in case it does slide. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice
