Hi All! I have a 180 Malawi tank and have been looking forever to find a light I like. I found an AquaticLife 72" light with 6 rows of HO T5 bulbs for a steal. I would think this is a lot of light for me, but is there a way to make this work? Could I use regular t5 bulbs in it in lieu of HO...

I put a large net in and let them get used to it. Then I feed them in front of the net and when the fish I want swims in to eat, he's mine!

That's a Red Top Chilumba. Very pretty fish, but he can be VERY aggressive. I had mine spawn with a red zebra, and I have the offspring full grown now, but I had to sell the male because he was stressing my tank.

I do t see any new leaves at all. Should I trim any of it off? If so, what do I trim? I've never seen any fish show any interest at all in it.

Sunlight... I'll see what I can do to boost the light and see what happens. The 30 watt AquaGlo and the 30 watt PowerGlo are the lights directly above the plant.

That plant is also on an end of a tank that is right by a window and gets window light most if the day, too.

I had always read and heard that Java Fern was very tolerant of most lighting conditions...
