Set up a 5 gallon shrimp tank a few weeks ago. Fully cycled, perfect parameters. Stock: 1 black racer nerite snail, 2 orange sakura shrimp. Plants : 1 amazon sword, 1 anubis nana, 1 bamboo stalk (only partially submerged, of course), and some java moss.:)

Which disease is constantly coming back to haunt you? For me, it's fin rot. I've had three bettas die from it in the past three years. One betta had fin rot for a whole year, and it wouldn't go away despite treatments. Which disease is your downfall? Sent from my SM-G386T using Aquarium Advice...

Or better yet, just clean it really well with tap water, let it dry out, and add it to a tank of water. If the water turns red, then it's the filter. Sent from my SM-G386T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

Was the filter in a different tank and you just moved it? If it was in a previous tank that had snails with it, I would rinse it really well with tank safe water. Sent from my SM-G386T using Aquarium Advice mobile app
