In terms of crowding the tank with lr, you can always keep most of the rock in the sump if you have one. I have a 29 gallon that looked too full with LR, so I just starting putting the rock in the sump and cleared out the main tank so their is more swimming room.

Is that the normal temperature of the tank? Most sw or reef aquaria need to be housed in the range of 78 - 82. I'm not sure if thats whats bothering the clown, but I would try to raise the temperature up over the next couple of days.

I dont mind pruning at all and I do keep my lights on a 24 hour schedule. Have you found that they have a similiar impact as chaeto does? Because when I had my chaeto it grew rapidly and never had trouble with nitrates.
