    Coral ID?

you are wonderful for not screaming and running the other way!!! I think the more I research the more I confuse myself. So Lets talk LED for a min. If you don't mind. they are apparently the way many are going. so obviously they are measured differently then metal halide and fluorescent. I see...

    Coral ID?

There is a fan on the end that turns on with the lights. Thank you for the link, they are expensive for sure, but I want nicer coral and inverts so I know I am going to have to take the plunge. I have another question or two or hundred. I have a fluorescent ballast in my shed not being used...

    Coral ID?

Thank you very much, I will look for them! In your opinion with the new bulbs how close could I move it to the tank. It looks terrible where the guy I got it from has it it is so high, I can't even build a canopy to hide it. But I am also concerned about the heat?

    Coral ID?

def. not a clam. the pic is a clam shell with 2 pieces glued standing up (why? I don't know) but I have a piece that came unglued on my rock, it is completely brown and when you blow on them they react so he's alive. I just don't know what he is or what to do for him. lol :ermm:

    Coral ID?

Found them. They are 175 Watt each (have 3) is that good? I copied from the web site .... 175 watt metal halide lamp with a BT28 shaped glass, clear finish, 4000K, and a E39 mogul base. So i should be running the actinic with the metal halide, correct? Thank you again for all your help:angel:

    Coral ID?

The 3 round bulbs themselves don't say much that makes sense to me. Where it screws in days 4kv and the two others are the 2 long bulbs are super actinic fr40t12/vho. I haven't been running them together until after reading up in lighting last night about actinic and all, when I run them at...

    Coral ID?

Yes, pretty new. Damsel fish and 4 power heads. All I have was previously set up. So when I set it up it went through what the reef guy explained to me as a mini cycle. Put the damsel in there and then just the two coral. I def will wait until I get better lighting before getting more coral. The...

Thank you very much, That makes sense. I was just googling yellow looking tank. That would be the reason because out of the tank my water is crystal. I will start researching new lighting.

I only picked him up yesterday from the store. They had him in no overhead lighting. I am Still new to the lighting, I bought the whole set up used. My lighting is Metal Halide (I believe) it has 3 of the bulbs in the picture and 2 moon lights for night time. Brings me to another question the...

    Coral ID?

I got this from my lfs. It looks like there are a couple pieces glued(?) to a clam shell. The girl couldn't remember what is was called. They look somewhat hairy and when I blow shrimp on them the appear to "grab". I found think lettuce coral online but wasn't sure that was correct because...
