50/50 means 50% daylight and 50% actinic so probably not the best for FW. 100% daylight would probably be better, something near 6700k.

Those won't work. They have a 2-pin base and you need a screw in base. I would take one of your bulbs to home depot and match the bases (there are multiple size screw in bases.) Here's what they look like at Petsmart - couldn't find it online at HD but they still may have it.

I use an AquaClear 30 on my 10g quarantine tank. For quarantine I just run w/ sponge and biomax (saving the carbon in case I ever have to use it as a hospital tank.) IMHO the AC 30 is perfect for a 10g.

Brass should be okay too; it is used for plumbing fixtures.

I believe zinc will rust (google: zinc rust proof). I would go with stainless steel instead.

That's why I use a canister. I never have to fiddle with equipment at the tank. The canister sits on a shelf below the tank with the hoses running in the narrow gap between the tank and wall. Granted the initial cost is probably 2x but the flexibility and ease of use has been worth it.

I use zip ties, either black or white depending on what I'm attaching the plant on. They are much easier to work with than limp thread or fishing line for my fat fingers.

Ac 30 I have an AquaClear 30 on my 10 gallon with sand. The tank has a betta and four Cories. I don't feel it has too much flow - doesn't bother the betta at all. Keeps the tank very clear. Besides the flow rate is adjustable on the 30 but I have mine set to the highest flow.

Prime directions say 1 capful (5ml) for 50 gallons. So simple math calculates that as 1ml per 10 gallons. Get a medicine dropper like this that has markings for ml's.

I also use a capped 1 gallon jug for top offs. I top off my jug by using any extra conditioned water from my 5 gallon bucket when I do a PWC.

Your red one is a male. The MM is female. If you want to add more get 1 or 2 females. 3:1 is a good ratio female to male.

105 is the previous generation model. Current model is 106. How many gallons is your tank? I have a 204 (two generations old) on a 20H and love it. I would recommend a 205/206 as it's only $10 more, has a third basket and 40% better flow rate but it depends on your tank size.
