I put hum on a small rock thats just dusted over with sand about two days ago i think? He hasnt attached himself yet but he looks a little happier. How long does it usually take for them to attach?

The picture really doesnt do it justice because the new setup is alot more open and has an awesome shelfing tiered took. I love it. Now im comfortable with buying a small tang for this system because there is alot more open swimming space and plenty of hiding spots

Are you talking about a bio-cube type setup? Because if you are i would not advise putting macro in that back section as the macro will need plenty of light. It will turn white and die just as what you are already experiencing if it doesnt.
