search stringy poo in the forum. Lots of good info in here. I just went through this info with a friend that's not on this forum. She used meds. Lemme see if I can find a link...
Rock vacuum will definitely help.
Plecos produce a lot more waste than they clean. Idk how big your tank is but consider that before buying a (not standard) pleco.
I just recently changed my black substrate to a smaller more natural river rock and you don't notice it as much after a good rock...
Honestly it's probably gonna be about the same either way IMHO either way you're gonna lose fish. I would just be afraid that if I didn't medicate I could lose all of them. Idk tho the only corys I have experience with are the emerald corys.
I bought 3 about 3 years ago and in my 20gal they...
Came across this not too long ago. Not sure if it's the same, but big changes in environment or ph can stress them.

Yeah fish generally like gradual changes, but with 3 gallons I don't think it can really fully cycle so it is kinda needed IMO. I do small water changes weekly (or every other day depending on plants) but one BIG water change once a month. I have ivy, bamboo, and peace lily in my 3gals. So if it...

The fin damage may be from when it got too dirty. Whether it was ammonia build up or fin nipping you're prolly never gonna know. Just keep the water clean and they'll grow back...

Be careful getting them as babies. I think its the best way for a successful sorority, but many males are sold as females and its hard to tell until they get older. I think the key (besides their individual personalities) is lots of cover and hides and adding them all at the same time to help...
It really just depends on the individual personalities. I think a 20g long would be fine if it had plenty of hides and plant cover.
I've read the most successful ones all the female come from the same fry, but really it just depends on the ladies introduced. I'd have a back up plan in case any...
I've read they can go 10+days without feeding but i dunno how accurate that is. I would be wary to go a full week...
Is the feeder one you load manually? Could you maybe only put 2 or 3 pellets in? Do you have time to play around with the auto feeder for a while before the trip?
I wish I could...
