- I have a 29 gallon freshwater tank. It contains a variety of Platys,a weather loach, two golden dojo loaches, a 15in pleco,and two emerald Cory cats. The pleco is 5 yrs old and the others are close to two minus four that were born in the tank. I've never really had any problems with ich or any illness. I also have a 20 gallon that has red eye tetras, head and tail light tetras, and two Austrialian rainbows that apparently will out live me. We lost our home to a major flood but miraculously that tank survived. We lost everything else we owned. No electric or food for 15 days and they are 4 yrs old! I know this sounds unbelievable but I promise you it is not.
