They said "flat an chalky is usually bacterial" an told me about salt. But I wanna try to avoid salt for the reasons stated above.. an no money. Im so worried about my lil fishies.. I jus wish I at least knew what this was so I could try to scrounge up cash for meds:/

Im new to this site. This is the first tank ive set up since I was in 4th grade. I have a 35gal tank with 3 mollies, a serpae tetra, an albino bristle nose pleco, an 6 ghost shrimp. I plan on adding another molly, 3 swordtails, 3 guppies, an 2 horned nerite snails maybe an african dwarf frog...

I cant use salt though.. 1. It'll kill my shrimp 2. I dont think my pleco or tetra would like it 3. Idk how to preform a tank flush to remove it 4. I dont have any aquarium salt 5. Im very scared to use salt on my tank. I never have an I know ill mess it up. I also dont have a gravel vac yet
