I like to use them because it keeps the main filter housing media cleaner longer plus it adds a little more media for good bacteria. Plus my fish eat the food that gets sucked into it instead of going into the main filtration right away. I like using the Filter-Max Pre Filter line, good sponges...

It has adjustable settings for each port, so should be good.

Never tried that brand, but all I use are Eheim Jager heaters and they are great. Never had issues.

Who's running a dual metal 55g stand? Looking to pick one up but would like to see pics of different brands to see the clearance between the top and bottom tanks and the distance from the floor on the lower tank.

Just noticed a bunch of dust size bugs in my algae wafers, thought it was dust from the wafers but they moved around. Any ideas? I keep them in an air tight container and only get a weeks servings in another container to keep them fresher longer. My daily container also has these bugs but so...

I've been watering my lawn and roses with my weekly water changes, but now we started a fruit and veggie area. Do you use your dirty water for them too? My wife thinks it's not a good idea since we will be consuming them. I say it does not matter but will actually help them grow like the roses...

It works pretty good for the price. Took me a bit to get it dialed in, but does what it's supposed to do. I hooked it up to a Fluval 406 and to a AquaClear 70, got rid of the surface oil slime from not cleaning my black sand pretty quick. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice
