Hey guys, After horrible luck with black phantom tetras, I have decided to try another schooling fish in my 38g planted. I really want to try tiger barbs, but I am worried about my gouramis. Will this arrangement work? Thanks.

Forgot to update this guys, thought I'd mention that I did clean the impeller and the unit now works. I did the same with my smaller unit as well. So before you rush out to replace them, give them a clean first. =)

Ok, it's definitely not BBA. I'm currently not dosing that tank with ferts and the lighting is around 2x 3700K on a 12 hour cycle. Maybe I should cut down to 8 hours or so. Here is a link to the video, you can see it coating my java ferns, anubias and creeping up my hornwort and anacharis...

I don't think so but I will take a pic and post it to confirm. It might be picking up some of the black sand, but it appears to be a lot thicker than BBA, almost carpet like.

Well, I'm not sure what to tell you guys, I went to take a pic that same night and the "fuzz" was completely gone with no visible injury to any fins. I have no explanation. =( Sorry to waste your time guys.
